Cross Country is ova!!!

Over over over! Over over over!
Yes, that's right, CC is OVA!
We had our last meet today as the Invitational in Dewitt, it was pretty crazy.
The coach backs away slowly and then he goes hey guys, clears his throat and gestures toward HIS MOM!! MS. LYNCH!! I KIND OF HAVEN'T SEEN HER SINCE LIKE TRACK LAST YEAR!!
For the record his mom was our coach for Cross Country in 6th grade, my track coach for all 2 years so far, and my swimming coach, and then we got her name forgetful son as our coach for Cross Country this year. He was rated about a 7 on the scale along with Coach James from last year.
Yeah! So I'm running and I've come around the corner about to go onto the track for the 300 at the end, and I can see Hannah like in the middle of the track running like crazy. I just keep my steady pace going here, and I hear the coach next to me like half running along side me yelling "Good job!! Real good job!! Keep going, your almost there Hannah!" Freeze. WHAT did he just say?? Turning toward him to give him my 'hey dude, pay attention, you must be kinda stupid' look, when he laughs and says "ha ha, I mean Delaney." You know, I have been going to Cross Country since the summer, so has Hannah, and REALLY? Really. He can't get our names right, he has ALWAYS got me and Hannah switched around, I have been Hannah and she's been Delaney. First of all, we don't even look that much alike, I'm smaller and have darker hair, and she's taller and has SHORTER lighter hair than I do, I mean we are best friends and all, but REALLY??
Goodness.
Ok, but long story short, I did ok under pressure, I got my 3rd best time ever, and my 2nd best time this season.
Best time: 18:32, the same course last year
Second best time: This season 19:12
This time: 19:35 Dewitt championships

So, I've come along way since it being 24:22 on my first ever meet in 6th grade.
And now it's all the way over, and I only have 2 weeks off until swimming starts, and I can't wait, it will be so much funnnnnn!!!!!!!!
