Today was oddly full of awesomeness.
One reason, was because it was weekly debate day. (This weeks was Boxer's Vs. Briefs)
Another reason, is because it was Talk like an Englishman day, and the favorite saying in English was tied between with.
The fellow spewed all over the teacher's trousers!
Joey can you fetch me a glass of water (which is weird, because we don't know a Joey . . .(?)
And.. . . . .
Are your trousers broken?
(http://bloggerschoiceawards.com/blogs/show/101764) VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!(pretty please?? . . . . . .beautiful please? . . . . . .wow, that sounded way better in my head sorry for that)
And because I saw Emma at the Equations meet! Sort of . . . almost!
I was almost running out the door, grasping my duck umbrella because I had to quickly run across the street to my brother's school to meet my grandpa(Opa) so he could drive us home, and I didn't know if it was raining, but I wasn't going to open it all the way inside, 7 years of bad luck, NOOOOO thank you. And I had already dawdled enough, and Opa can get kind of irritated if we aren't there on time.
So I'm sooo focused on making it out the door.
When I see a Holt shirt move quickly to get out of my way. I remember what I was supposed to do.
Sneaky sneaky behind a pillar while they don't see.
RAWR!! TACKLE EMMA IN A HUG!!
Her friend was like who is that?? But all my energy was being used hugging with all my strength and laughing my butt off, because I wasn't even behind the pillar that much, and I had YELLED EMMA CARLSON!!!! And ran straight at her. Deaf, I think.
And then Emma was all like Delaney!
And I was like Hey!
Her friend was like YOUR Delaney?
Yep!
Emma: Ok, breathe, (she was all out of breath from my famous hugs)
Coupla awkward moments of silence, and then
her friend: Yeah well we should . . . .and she started scooching toward the library door.
Me: Ok, well if you have to go, then I guess you have to go, good luck! See ya!
Emma: Hey wait!
Emma: Hey wait!
Me: Yeah?
Emma: Do you know if Quentin is still in equations?
Me: Nope.
Emma: Oh well he was in 6th grade.
Yeah, I know, I guess it got old.
By then she was engulfed by Holt shirts and people shoving into the library.
Then I was like HOLY TROUSERS! I need to get going! Grabbing my umbrella and running out the door.
Then the action wasn't over,
I was still on school property maybe 300 yards from the school doors and Jose and this other kid were fighting and all the people on the road were honking their horns and stuff, and I was like OMG!! But I kept walking, if I get suspended for ANYTHING then I'm out of a coupla field trips and the talent show, and I you get suspended for watching a fight on school grounds. So I kept walking and like 10 people honked their horns. And I'm half jogging and walking thinking, oh yeah, wow, honking. If you want them to stop then YOU have to pull over and get between em, dudes their like 13, their not gonna stop fighting over a honk.
And wow, irony, a lady walks past me real fast going
Yeah, I'm on Saginaw, I stopped these two kids are beating the CRAP out of eachother . . . .
I laugh out loud but keep walking and like 10 other kids run up with video cameras. . . .idiots.
The elementary kids are coming now toward the fighters, and I yelled out at a coupla of them, hey! Careful, big kids fighting! But kept going.
But then the action was over.
Did you know we had a tornado drill and a tornado real thing drill in one day???? In art, and math!
Math was like a whole 25 minute deal and my butt went numb and tingly from sitting uncomfortably. And I almost got written up because MARIAH stabbed the paper I was writing on with a pencil and Ms. Washburn heard, and she was all like, all I have to do is put a name on this write up.
Gosh!
I hope tomorrows even better! Minus the tornado drills!
Delaney
