So yesterday I had an orthodontist appointment at Uof M. And it was kinda weird, because we had to drive all the way down to Ann Arbor, and I happened to glance up from this book I was reading, and I saw this store or shop, or restaurant thing, it was called. . .bivouac. No joke. I was about to die and had to take a picture of it. I did, but it's really blurry and stuff. And they called my name, and literally I thought they were taking me back to do experiments or something. Because I walked back there, and there were like 8 kids sprinkled in different chairs in this one room. They were all laying back some students had their hands in their mouths checking their teeth. But other's looked bored like they would rather have something else to do. But it was weird because they were just kids. Like this is an orthodontics place for anyone, not just kids. They watched me walk in and I couldn't help but smile, because it was freaking me out. Everything was white and sterile and there were lots of kids sitting in dentist chairs. But then it got less freaky as I had to sit there and wait while the dentist student tried to talk to me. When the actual orthodontist came over she had to examine my teeth and try to tell my mom what to do about my situation. SHE WAS NOT GENTLE. NOT. She just prodded all of my teeth like I was some person that magically couldn't feel it. And then there's this problem with my upper teeth, apparently my bottom teeth are just peachy, but she was pointing to my upper canine teeth, and while she was talking she couldn't keep her hands still in my mouth, and while she was talking her fingers slipped off my teeth and went straight over my lip, dragging my own spit onto that little space below your nose. I know it's my own spit, but still, that's NASTY. She didn't even notice and she successfully did that about 4 more times before she was done talking.
Then today I was looking forward to watching an Eoin Colfer virtually live webcast online, with my grandma's computer. So I got up kinda early so I would have enough time to be ready, eating, getting dressed, so I could hop on the computer and watch it. While I was sitting on the couch waiting for 11:15 to roll around so I would have 15 minutes to wait and be safe with the time, I started thinking of all the things that could go wrong. . . since it was the UK, the time might be different. Probably was different. Then I really wanted to get on and check, because I really wanted to watch this, I had been waiting for this since the middle of February when I first heard of it. So when 11:15 did roll around I got on, went to the website where it would be showing. Why was I right? Why did it say this webcast is offline? Why did I still hope that I'd be able to watch it, ask Eoin questions and stuff. Why did I wait until 11:30 to see?
But APPARENTLY they don't include the U.S. in any of their things. They don't appreciate that they have fans that really want to watch live webcasts in the U.S. so the I don't get to ask questions, and I don't get to watch it live. Oh yeah, I still get to watch it, but after it is "on demand and replay in a short while."
I am a very dissapointed girl.
